Complaints Procedure

Complaints Procedure

Swindon Borough Council has adopted a variety of contract monitoring arrangements appropriate to the value and nature of each contract. Most complaints can be resolved by using these arrangements. However if any prospective or existing contractor or supplier has a complaint relating to unfair or discriminatory treatment that cannot be resolved through this process then a complaint can be made in writing through the Council’s corporate customer comment system.

The procedure details the Council’s policy for dealing with complaints and ensures that the Council acts promptly. Anyone who has supplied a tender under the European Public Procurement Rules can take action in the High Court if they have been harmed, or are at risk of harm, by the Council breaking these regulations. Anyone who feels that they have been treated unfairly can also complain to the European Commission.
