The South West of England Regional Development Agency (South West RDA) was established to drive forward the region's economy.
Government sponsored, the South West RDA is responsible for providing strategic leadership in economic development and for co-ordinating national programmes at regional and local level.
The South West RDA covers the county and unitary authority areas of Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire, Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Somerset, Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole, Devon, Torbay and Plymouth, and Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Foremost amongst the South West RDA's responsibilities are the ongoing development and implementation of the regional strategy. Shaped by the views of local people, businesses and partners, the strategy forms the blueprint for sustainable economic growth for the south-west region over the coming years.
