Information Hub

Information Hub

The Artsminds Information Hub has been set up to provide useful information on topics that have relevance to the arts, and to Swindon creative practitioners.

SWINDON MUSIC FORUM – Artsminds is now supporting the set up of the Swindon Music Forum. Last year a music symposium attracted over 60 people from the local music scene to provide feedback on what they wanted to help them. 5 months on the Swindon Music Forum has been set up and a meeting held to understand how to move it forward. Work has been going on to look at how the Swindon Music Forum will fit and work within the South West Music Forum and support the strategies that it is looking to roll out.

If you want more information call Steve on 07751271069 or email contact@swindonmusicforum.org.uk

Artsminds in-action

ARTSMINDS MARKETING LITERATURE – We have available copies of the Artsminds marketing literature that has been distributed around a whole host of venues across Swindon, but we are always looking to make sure we get it to the right people. If you are holding an event, doing a mailing or have a place where they can be displayed get in touch.

We do have an electronic version that can be downloaded by clicking on the following link: www.swindon.gov.uk/artsminds313.pdf . Why not use it to put on your website, send it to friends and colleagues or if there is a way to get your work to add it to their intranet that would give access to Artsminds to whole host of new people.

Artsminds Opportunity

INTEL ART GALLERY – Artsminds have been given a fantastic opportunity. We have met with Intel's Art Committee via Artsminds member Benoit Philippe, and Benoit has kindly offered the Intel Art Gallery as space for Artsminds members to show their work. The gallery has many rules and guidance around how it is managed and they do get booked up in advance. They are in the process of opening a second art gallery site in their new offices in Cheney Manor, so there is even more opportunities for Artsminds members. If you are interested then please do get in touch with one of the art committee members (details can be found on the PDF link below), and they can advise on how what you need to do. BUT please do read the document explaining more about the gallery space before getting in touch.
