Stephen K Amos

STEPHEN K AMOS - FIND THE FUNNY

Thursday 22 January, 8pm

"You'll laugh until you actually cry." ***** Sunday Express  "Guaranteed a good time" List  "Five star smash" Chortle "Fuel injected comedic brain...achingly funny.” ***** Scotsman

“Stephen K Amos’s stand-up is genuinely side splitting. Not many comedians pack out two different shows in one night, and it seems like on this occasion the majority of the audience from his earlier show stampeded to his later chat show to get another dose of a truly top class comedian. Amos’s timing and delivery are impeccable as he regales the audience with fantastically witty anecdotes about his family, school days and his views on religion while also introducing us to a variety of hilarious characters including the American Reverend, his bodyguard and, of course, his mother. He doesn’t miss a beat and effortlessly plays off an audience beside itself with mirth. Put this at the top of your list of stand-ups to see this Fringe – the man is simply brilliant.” ***** Ed Fest Mag

Mutton

Mutton

Friday 6 March 8pm

A unique and brilliantly funny show packed with sketches instantly recognizable to women of all ages and the men that have to live with them! What does a women do when her ‘babies’ flee the nest for Uni, work or horror of horrors, their own family?

For the Mutton girls, feeling helpless, abandoned and with time on their hands, it was simple...write a comedy show full of their own experiences and those of their friends, the joys, trials, anguishes, confusions and coping...in short...LIFE, WITH IT’S FUNNY ( and sometimes peculiar ) HAT ON!

A successful premiere at Edinburgh Festival led to three consecutive UK tours which have included frequent sell outs amongst them, The Maddermarket in Norwich, Garrick Theatre Lichfield and The Square Chapel in Halifax. This is your chance to see three 40/ 50 something ladies’ fresh and entertaining take on reaching that ‘certain age’ and all the trials and tribulations involved! The show is a celebration of the comedy ‘within women’.

These fast and hilarious comedy sketches are not only for the Women who ' suffer' but for their men who will be ' oh so familiar' with what they see!!!

“Great Fun” - Lorraine Kelly

“Short, very funny sketches by three excellent writer/performers.” - Edinburgh Metro

''An original stand up show where you leave with more laughter lines than you came in with'' -Express and Star Wolverhampton.

From hot flushes (or ‘power surges’ as the girls like to call them!) and memory loss, to HRT and bladder weakness ... no subject is too taboo to tackle!

These three women know more than most about juggling careers with demanding children, long suffering partners, too little money, overgrown gardens and never ending housework!

Jean Heard has worked extensively in TV, film and on stage including No Sex Please We’re British at The Strand Theatre and TV’s The Bill. Donna Flinn’s wealth of experience has included touring in her own stand up show as well as performing regularly on tour with The New Seekers. RADA trained Julia Munrow has written for the National Film Theatre and appeared on stage in countless productions including most recently Underground at The Barbican.

“Without vulgarity, just clever true humour, all of these sketches are instantly recognizable and display what we all have to look forward to!” - Bucks Herald
