Eastern Development Area (EDA) Supplementary Planning Document
The consultation period has now closed.
The consultation period for the EDA SPD ran for a period of eight weeks from Monday 20th April to Monday 15th June. Over 1600 individuals and organisations have made representations on the EDA SPD.
Representations have been made in a variety of ways (via the comments form, email/letter, online form and petitions); all forms of representation will be logged onto a database. The database will be used to assist council officers in the summary and response of all comments; this will assist in the amendment of the SPD.
What happens now?
A unique reference number will be allocated to all forms of comment when respondents’ details are logged onto the database. Respondents will be notified of their unique reference number via post (thus acknowledging a representation has been made) once all have been entered onto the database. Due to the high level of response, and in the interests of fairness, acknowledgement will be sent when all respondents’ details have been logged.
All comments will then be logged and analysed by a council planning officer and used to amend the EDA SPD where appropriate. Further correspondence will be sent to respondents at this time, summarising the overall response to the EDA SPD and providing detail of the revised document.
