Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) provide policy guidance that amplifies the policies and proposals of the LDD's. SPD's replace Supplementary Planning Guidance in the new planning system introduced under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act, 2004.
Eastern Development Area (EDA) Supplementary Planning Document
The consultation period for the EDA SPD ran for a period of eight weeks from Monday 20th April to Monday 15th June. Over 1600 individuals and organisations have made representations on the EDA SPD.
Representations have been made in a variety of ways (via the comments form, email/letter, online form and petitions); all forms of representation will be logged onto a database. The database will be used to assist council officers in the summary and response of all comments; this will assist in the amendment of the SPD.
A unique reference number has been allocated to all forms of comment and respondents have received an acknowledgement letter to this effect. All responses can be inspected at the Borough Councils' offices at Premier House (Monday - Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm) and are listed below for online viewing.
Update as of Winter 2009
The SPD is currently being redrafted in light of representations made relating to the consultation draft and to reflect new evidence based studies that were commissioned following the first draft.
It is currently anticipated that a second draft of the SPD will be made available for further comment during a re-consultation period in early 2010.
Further information will be posted on this website in the new year
