What is the Adult Placement?
The Adult Placement Service provides support and accommodation to adults who access the following services:
- Learning disabilities
- Physical disabilities
- Mental health
- Older people
- Other vulnerable adults
The Service is for people aged over 18 years, regardless of background, ethnic origin, gender, sexuality, disability, address or HIV status.
Usually the service user lives within the carer’s family home. Adult Placement also offers respite, outreach services, floating support (a carer who lives elsewhere and provides accommodation and support) and emergency placements.
The carer supports people to live an ordinary life as part of the community.
The service recruits and supports carers. We provide up to date and relevant training opportunities, regular supervision, carers meetings, support when needed and social events.
