What is this Directory About?

This directory is intended as a source of information about moving to live in a care home and about domiciliary care agencies (care agencies who provide care services in your own home).

The directory is organised into two main sections:

• Care Homes Listings divided here into Residential, Nursing and Learning Disabilities
• Further Information on Making a Decision, Meeting Costs, etc

Who is this Directory for?

The directory is for older people, irrespective of their disability, adults with either a physical or learning disability and for their carers or others who are assisting them.

Context

It is important when you are reading this directory to take into account the following:

• We made every effort  to ensure that the information is accurate. Inevitably over time there may be changes. Swindon Adult Services Care Line 0800 085 66 66 will be able to assist you if you wish to check the information within this directory.
• Inclusion in this directory does not constitute a recommendation of any particular home or agency by Swindon Borough Council or the Commission for Social Care Inspection.

The directory only includes listings for care homes and care agencies who provide services within the boundaries of Swindon Borough Council.

Improved performance and modernisation

Swindon Adult Social Care is currently undertaking a modernisation programme in major developments and improvements to the services provided through Adult Services.

Our focus in Swindon is upon working closely with partner organisations, Service Users and Carers to continue the strong progress already achieved in improving performance and modernising services.
