First Aid at Work Certificate - Full and Renewal

Swindon Commercial Services can offer two types of First Aid at Work Courses, they are:

  • A Full First Aid at Work certificate for new candidates
  • A Refresher First Aid at Work Course for revalidation

New Candidates

Students will need 100% attendance of the course and pass the examination at the end to become qualified. The exam consists of two parts, oral questions and a practical test.

  • Aims, Priorities, Action Plans and Diagnosis
  • Adult Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and Choking
  • Circulation disorders
  • Causes of Unconciousness
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Bandaging
  • Body Checks / Recovery Positions
  • Crush / Amputation and Penetrating Chest Wounds
  • Sprains and Strains
  • Burns
  • Fractures
  • Heat Stoke / Exhaustion, Hypothermia
  • First Aid Kits

Revalidation

Holders of a First Aid at Work certificate must complete a requalification course and pass the assessment to revalidate their certificate for a further three years. Students enroling on this course must bring their current first aid certificate with them, as proof of qualification and renewal date.

Inhouse Training

We can visit your site, or you may use our training facilities if that is more suitable. Maximum 12 students per course. Lunches will be the group booking's responsibility.
