Swindon Children & Young Person's Strategic Partnership

The Children's Information Service have set up a directory of services for children and young people within Swindon. Their website currently holds information regarding registered and unregistered Child Care, Education services, Health services, Family services and Disabled Children's services as well as financial, counselling and therapy support. The directory went live in October 2004 and is comprehensive and searchable. The directory can be accessed by using the following address; www.childrenyoungpeoplesservices.co.uk

Swindon Inter-Agency Information Sharing Guidance

Swindon Inter-Agency Information Guide front coverAs part of Government requirements, Swindon have produced an information sharing protocol clarifying when information about individual children will be shared. The guidance was piloted in November 2003 and was officially launched in February 2004.  This was revised in Summer 2007 and signed off by the Every Child Matters Task Group.

The Guidance includes documents that relate to sharing information within Swindon, a Child Protection Protocol, a consent form for practioners and guidelines for sharing information in different ways.
