Footpath 1, Wroughton Wroughton & Chiseldon Closure between its junction with Footpath 123, Swindon on Black Horse motorway bridge to the junction with Bridleway 42, Wroughton. To enable contractors and developers to construct infrastructure and housing on East Wichelstowe. For alternative route see under Footpath 123 10.10.07 19.05.08
Footpath 2, Wroughton Wroughton & Chiseldon From the junction with footpath 60, Wroughton running north from the M4 motorway towards Mill Lane. Alternative route * from the junction of footpath 2, Wroughton, in a north easterly direction running parallel with Mill Lane on the field side of the hedgerow. The path crosses the River Ray and then runs south in an easterly direction to join Bridleway 122, Swindon south of Westlecot farm 19.11.07 19.05.08
Footpath 18, Blunsdon St Andrew Blunsdon Closure between Hillside Way and to a point 300 metres west. To allow contractors to construct Blunsdon bypass. Alternative route: Hillside Way, A419, Lady Lane and vice versa 10.10.07 09.10.08
Footpath 24, Blunsdon St Andrew Blunsdon Closure between A419 and footpath BA32 to allow contractors to construct Blunsdon bypass 10.10.07 09.10.08
Footpath 32, Blunsdon St Andrew Blunsdon Closure between the end of footpath BA20 and Lady Lane to allow contractors to construct Blunsdon bypass. Alternative route: BA20, Salzgitter Drive, Lady Lane and vice versa 10.10.07 09.10.08
Footpaths 34 and 35, Wroughton Wroughton & Chiseldon Temporary closure to enable contractors to undertake construction of new road. Closure of footpath 34 running from Beavens bridge south westerly along the canal tow path to the junction with footpath 10, Wroughton. An alternative route will run parallel with the canal on the opposite side. Footpath 35 running from the parish boundary south westerly to the road leading to South Leaze cottages. An alternative route will run along the canal tow path from Beavens bridge in a north easterly direction with a route onto the Old Town rail path. From here it will link to the continuation of footpath 35 Wroughton, via footpath 39 Wroughton, which runs along the road leading to South Leaze cottages April 08 Oct 08
Footpaths 59 and 60 Old Town and Lawn Temporary closure to enable contractors to undertake construction of new road. Full length of footpaths from Old Town rail path running south westerly to the parish boundary. An alternative route for footpath 60 will run along the canal tow path from Beavens bridge in a north easterly direction with a route onto the Old Town rail path, where it will link to the continuation of footpath 35 Wroughton via footpath 39 Wroughton which runs along the road leading to South Leaze cottages. An alternative route for footpath 59 will run along the canal tow path in a southerly direction to Beavens bridge with a link on to the Old Town rail path April 08 Oct 08

Footpath 61, Wroughton Wroughton & Chiseldon Closure of a length between Footpath 61, running for a distance of 90 metres from the junction with Footpath 1, Wroughton. Alternative route from Bridleway 42, Wroughton in a north westerly direction for approximately 150 metres to rejoin the existing length of Footpath 61, Wroughton April 08 Oct 08

M4 - works between junctions 15 and 16   The M4 will be closed in both directions for the removal and replacement of South Leaze accommodation bridge. Works will take place on two of these proposed dates, which are all Saturday/Sunday, works from 8pm Saturday and 10am Sunday. Alternative route eastbound - J16 (M4),Great Western Way (A3102) (B4006) (B4289) Ocotal Way to Drakes Way (A4312) to pick up Queens Drive (A4259) Marlborough Road (A4259) to join the A419 in a southerly direction to rejoin M4 eastbound at J15. Alternative route Westbound - Leave M4 at J15 and follow A419 north. Marlborough Road/High street, Old Town Old Town and Lawn Temporary closure of footway outside of The Square in a southerly direction to its first point with the pedestrian crossing. Access being maintained to HSBC, with the footway being closed again in a southerly direction to a point where it meets Henrietta Court.
