Car Park Lighting

Description of Service

Repair and replacement of any lights that are not working within Swindon Borough Council car parks.

Please note: When reporting a problem, please give as much information on the location of the faulty light as possible. Some car park lights and illuminated signs have a reference number printed on them, so if possible, please quote this number as well as giving the lamp’s location,

Service Levels

We have an annual cleaning, visual inspection and electrical testing regime and aim to change ‘lamps’ every three years on most units.

Some problems can occur between inspections, however. As such we would like you to let us know if you notice any defect so that remedial work can be carried out at as early a stage as possible.

How to Report a Problem

You can report a problem to us in a number of ways:

  • By telephone to the StreetSmart Team at the Swindon Direct Contact Centre on 01793 445501. For details of the Contact Centre opening hours, please visit the Swindon Direct web page.
  • In person, by visiting the Swindon Direct One-stop-shop. For details of the address and opening hours, please visit the Swindon Direct web page.
