Car Park Charges

Fee Changes

New rules came into effect on 8 April 2009 - the main change being the removal of special rates on Sundays and bank holidays.

Full details are also contained in a Public Notice, which is available as a downloadable PDF file:

Car Parking - Public Notice - March 2009 (22Kb)

Fees

Fees for each car park vary, so please see the individual pages for each one under Car Park Details.

Transfer Between Car Parks

Tickets are transferable between pay-and-display car parks but visitors should be aware that if they transfer from a cheaper car park to a more expensive one then the extra fee must be paid.

Ticket Purchase

With the exception of pay-on-foot car parks, where the fee is paid on departure, then a ticket should be purchased immediately after parking (failure to do so incurs a £50 or £70 Penalty Charge Notice).

Change

Please note that change is not available from ticket machines, except for pay-on-foot car parks.

Pay-on-Foot Car Parks

Pay-on-foot car parks also have note changers but customers are requested not to use large denomination notes to pay for small charges as the change tubes will soon run low.

You can also pay using most debit and credit cards.

If you lose your Pay on Foot ticket you will have to pay an all-day charge of £38.00.
