Town Centre Shopping

In the centre of Swindon, you will find a glittering array of high quality stores, shops and amenities.

The Brunel Centre

The Brunel CentreCentral to everything is the Brunel Centre, a modern, covered shopping mall with a wide range of shops and amenities.

The Brunel Centre offers undercover shopping and boasts a whole host of well-known national and international retailers like Marks and Spencers, Early Learning Centre, House of Fraser, Argos, Boots, Waterstones and Virgin Megastore. It also has a range of smaller retail outlets including John Antony, Deja Vous and many more.

A soft play area is great fun for the children and is free of charge. There are also coffee shops and cafés for when you need a well-earned break from shopping.

Pedestrianised Shopping Areas

Adjacent to the Brunel Centre are Canal Walk, The Parade and Regent Street. These too house a wide range of well-known brand names, including Next, H&M, Debenhams, BHS and Woolworths... to name but a few. With pedestrianised, wide, open-planned streets, Swindon's shopping centre provides safe and easy access and you can also enjoy a relaxing break from shopping in one of the many café bars, pubs or restaurants.

Farmer's Market

Visit the Farmer's Market run by Wiltshire Farmers Markets Association in conjunction with town centre management organisation, inSwindon.

The market is held on the 2nd Friday of every month in Canal Walk and boasts a wealth of local produce including meat and poultry, eggs and cheeses, jams and chutneys, herbs and plants, cakes and pies, organic produce and veg... with seasonal producers attending as their produce allows.

Car Parking

Parking couldn't be simpler and a number of shoppers' car parks are immediately adjacent to Swindon centre's main shopping area. These are in:

  • Villett Street
  • Farnsby Street
  • Morley Street
  • John Street
  • Islington Street

In addition, just a short walk away are car parks in:

  • Carlton Street
  • Spring Gardens (off Fleming Way)
  • Regent Circus

Park & Ride

And, if you don't want to go into the town centre by car, you can use the Park & Ride service which operates from Pipers Way (on the approach to Swindon from Wroughton). Buses operate to and from here and the town centre every ten minutes.
