Sports Camp - Link

Sports Camps pictureOur holiday sports camp generally runs from Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Children aged eight to thirteen years are accepted at camp.

All staff have undergone in-house training courses that include child protection and welfare and have been cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau to ensure that they have no convictions that should preclude them from working with children.

Team and ball games like football, netball, tennis, golf, rounders and cricket, plus swimming, Rookie Lifeguarding, badminton, gymnastics, trampolining, dance and orienteering are some of the activities that may be included. Qualified coaches will be used for some activities such as trampolining.

Registration

All children must be pre-booked into camp and a parent/guardian must complete an application form which provides the camp supervisor with basic information, such as children's allergies/medical conditions that we need to be aware of, and an emergency contact number of the parent/guardian.

All children must be signed in at the start of camp and signed out at the end by the parent/guardian. If the child is to be collected by someone other than the signatory, staff at the centre must be informed at the time of registration.

Lunch Arrangements

We aim to promote a healthy balanced diet. Children are active throughout the day so we ask that you ensure your child(ren) brings adequate food and drink with them. We advise that they bring a screw top bottle with them so that they can fill it with water as required.

Please ensure that your child(ren) has adequate food and drink with them. Camps have morning, lunch and mid afternoon breaks. Morning and mid afternoon breaks are usually just for a drink and a quick snack. At Link Centre, children can purchase food or bring their own packed lunch -please note that we are unable to keep food refrigerated so please ensure that lunchboxes have an icepack. Children will not be allowed to share food or drink.
