New to Reading

We have collections of books available for people who are new to reading or who wish to become more confident in reading.

If you return any books from the New to Reading collection late, you will be charged fines at a lower rate

  • Library Catalogue - See what titles are available in Swindon Libraries and reserve them online free of charge
  • First Choice Books - A database for new readers to help you choose which book to read.  You can search for books on sport, humour, romance or crime.  Other readers have already rated the books for you
  • Six Book Challenge - Join our annual scheme to encourage new readers
