Sport Activities - The Rec

Table Tennis Paddle and Ball




Highworth Rec is the ideal venue for a wide range of indoor sporting activities. Whether you want to take part as an individual or as part of a team, have coaching or just want to spectate, The Rec has the sport for you.





Sports Hall

The sports hall consists of a four-court multi-purpose hall that can be used for a variety of sporting activities including:

  • Badminton (four courts)
  • Basketball
  • Fitness Classes
  • Indoor Football (one court)
  • Netball
  • Short Tennis (four courts)
  • Table Tennis

The hall is available for hire daily Monday to Friday 9.00am-10.00pm, Saturday 9.00am-7.00pm and Sunday 9.00am-9.00pm. The Centre is closed on Bank Holidays.

Social Activities

The sports hall can also be used for social activities including:

  • Concerts
  • Conferences
  • Dinner dances
  • Exhibitions

Equipment is available for hire from Reception at a cost of £1.40 per item plus a £5.00 deposit. A Swindon Borough Council SwindonCard may be left as a deposit.
