General Course Information
How to Enrol
Please contact the specific course venue to find out availability and pricing for each course.
First Time Enrolments
New enrolments will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Please contact individual venues for the days and times of new enrolments.
Priority Booking for Courses
If you are currently on a course, contact reception during priority week to pay for your next course. You must pay by mail, in person or by telephone during priority week to retain your place.
Payment
All courses must be paid for in advance. Cheques should be made payable to 'Swindon Borough Council'. Switch, Delta, Solo, Electron, Maestro, Visa and Mastercard are accepted at all sites.
Course Receipts
If courses are booked over the phone, receipts will be available at the specific venue for collection. Just ask at the reception desk.
Postal Confirmation
Your course booking/receipt will be confirmed only if you enclose a stamped, self addressed envelope.
Late Bookings
Late bookings may be accepted subject to availability.
Cancellations
When a course attracts insufficient enrolments and is cancelled, an alternative course may be offered or you will be provided with a full refund. This is the only circumstance where refunds will be given.
Age Guide
Ages specified are for guidance. For special requirements, please contact individual sites.
Moving up a Course Level
We cannot guarantee spaces on a higher level course as demand may outweigh availability however, we will try our best to accommodate your needs.
Code of Conduct
All coaches, Instructors and Teachers abide by our Code of Conduct which is displayed at all Leisure Centres.
Course Length
Most courses run during term time.
Swimming Lessons
The swimming programme runs for 50 weeks of the year so we can provide continual assessments. This applies to all lessons apart from the midweek courses at the Oasis.
There is a Direct Debit system for payment for swimming courses which enables you to spread the cost with regular payments and secures places without the need to re-book.
SwindonCard
The SwindonCard offers best value for money and gives reduced rates on lots of courses.
