Cycling for Health

Cycle for Health

 

Cycle for Health is a cycling class for adults of all ages and is held on the athletics track at the County Ground, every Monday 10:00am - 11:00am. You can bring your own bike and helmet but if you don't have your own, we can provide them for you!

  • Cycling skills, stamina and confidence developed
  • Led by fully qualified, friendly instructors

  • Cycling in a safe environment 

The potential benefits of participating in the weekly 'Cycle for Health' sessions include:

  • improved quality of life
  • weight management
  • higher energy levels
  • improved mobility
  • reduced stress and anxiety
  • controlled blood pressure
  • reduced risk of heart disease
  • improved circulatory system including heart and lungs
  • increased muscular strength

The class is a 'pay-and-play' session so there is no need to book, just turn up.     

 

 

Steps to Health Exercise Referral Scheme

 

 

This programme is a welcome addition to the growing portfolio of activities available for the Swindon community as part of the Steps to Health Exercise Referral Scheme.

The scheme is a partnership between Swindon Borough Council and NHS Swindon to improve the health and well-being of the people of Swindon by encouraging regular physical activity.
