Oasis Leisure Centre

On this page: General information about the type of facilities available plus opening times and contact details.

Domebusters Now Open

Work has now been completed on the new Domebuster slide known as 'The Storm'. This exhilarating new ride is narrower and faster than before, taking on new twists and turns with flashing lights, a timer system and a board showing the 'fastest time of the day'.

Under its distinctive dome, the Oasis leisure pool recreates a tropical environment with slides, wave machine and a smaller pool for toddlers. In addition, there is a gym, sports hall, squash courts and many other complimentary facilities including cafeteria and bar.

Facilities and Activities Available

The Oasis also has rooms to hire.

Facilities for the Disabled

Next to the changing rooms, on the same level as the swimming pool, there is a fully accessible, age-appropriate disabled toilet and changing facility, which meets the national Change Places standard (including a height adjustable, adult sized changing bed and a ceiling hoist). The toilet can be accessed using a Radar Key, which can be borrowed from reception.

Concert Venue

The main hall has become a major venue for touring acts. As well as standing concert capacity of 3,000, the Oasis also caters for seated concerts for 1,620.

There is also a dedicated service area for alcoholic and soft drinks as well as snacks.
