Planned Maintenance Overview

Through the Planned Maintenance Programme, we ensure the outside of your home is well looked after. To achieve this, we aim to repair and paint the outside of your home on a set rotational basis.

This work may include repairs to roofs, chimneys, doors, windows and external decoration.

Before work starts, you will be given the name of the contractor who will be carrying out the work.

Our Clerk of Works Officer will visit your home before the programme starts, to decide what repairs are needed. We will also carry out inspections during the work and after it has been completed. If work is not completed to your satisfaction, we will ensure the contractor puts it right within the maximum defects period of six months.

Our Service Standards

We aim to:

  • Inspect the outside of your home regularly
  • Give you a list of repairs and improvements before the work starts
  • Tell you when work will start and how long it will take
  • Complete all work within a reasonable time unless major work is needed
  • Ensure that work is done on time to a good standard and to your satisfaction
  • Ensure that you and your home are treated with care and respect
  • Ensure that the service gives you good value for money
