
Ridgeway Care & Repair [Swindon] is a non-profit-making Home Improvement Agency funded by Swindon Borough Council to assist older and disabled people to remain in the home of their choice for as long as they choose.
Ridgeway Care & Repair [Swindon] offer free, independent advice on home improvements, repairs and adaptations that may be needed and may be able to assist with finding funding to help pay for the work.
The Agency also offer a Handihelp service. Our handiperson can carry out small repairs or adaptations from changing tap tops and fitting grab rails to repairing doors and windows and hanging cupboards or forming half-steps. Subsidized rates are available for those on low incomes.
Grants are also available towards the cost of installing central heating or replacing boilers and other major components which no longer work. This "Decent Homes Assistance" Scheme is funded by Swindon Borough Council but administered by Ridgeway Care & Repair (Swindon).
