Housing

Housing Development

The Housing Development Team works with housing associations and developers to provide affordable housing in Swindon for rent and low cost home ownership.

Swindon Borough Council works closely with the Housing Corporation to support good quality developments. This year, Swindon is benefiting from £3.8 million of Housing Corporation funding to construct more affordable housing for the town.

Swindon Borough Council has a preferred housing association partner list made up of:

  • Bromford Housing Association
  • Jephson Housing Association
  • Sarsen Housing Association
  • Soha Housing
  • Sovereign Housing Association
  • United Housing Association
  • Westlea Housing Association

Swindon Borough Council works with these partners to develop new affordable housing on all sites within the town - including homes obtained through the planning system. Housing developers should contact the development team to discuss which housing association is suitable for their site.
