Housing Business Plan

Swindon’s Housing Revenue Account Business Plan 2007-2036 has been rated 'fit for purpose' by Government Office. It is only one of two plans in the south-west to achieve this standard, and one of only 15 out of over 240 Councils in the country.

It has a robust action plan to improve management and maintenance of our housing and local neighbourhoods. It also demonstrates how we will achieve the Government's Decent Homes Standard by 2008, two years ahead of the Government's target. The plan also improves on the Decent Homes Standard and phases in higher Swindon Standard by 2016.

The Business Plan was developed in partnership with tenants, who will continue to be involved in monitoring and implementation.
