Highworth Rec Swimming Pool

Welcome to The Rec...

..When the sun shines, The Rec 25 metre, deck level pool is a great place for exercise and relaxation. Both sides of the pool building retract, opening onto sun terraces, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing family day out.

The Rec gym has over 22 stations with a comprehensive range of cardio-vascular and resistance machines, free weights and four wall mounted screens of entertainment with music and programmes to suit all tastes.

We have many other great activities to entertain you - choose from our list below!

By Car

From the A361, pass the mini roundabout. Opposite 'The Fox' public house, turn left down the one-way system. The Rec is on the left-hand side. There is free car parking for all customers.

By Bus

From Swindon Bus Station, service no. 7 travels to Highworth.

Centre Opening Times

Monday - Friday 9.00am-10.00pm
Saturday 9.00am-7.00pm
Sunday 9.00am-9.00pm

Please note - these are the general centre opening times. The Centre opens at 7am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the gym and swimming only.

Everybody 60 and over will be entitled to swim for free at published public swimming sessions at any of our pools. The scheme is part of a national campaign to promote swimming, general fitness, more active lifestyles and well-being.

The Centre is a joint venture between Swindon Borough Council and the Centre Management Committee in association with Highworth Town Council.

The Centre is a registered charity - number 1126072.
