Planning Process - Consultation

On this page: What happens on Consultation

Each planning application registered has a statutory consultation period so that the views of local people, businesses and other relevant bodies can be sought on the proposal. We aim to consult with the consultees as early as possible.

Major applications are published in the Swindon Advertiser and all applications can be viewed on the Public Access website.  Depending on the type of application, we may also post a site notice.

Copies of plans can be viewed at our offices, and are also available electronically, please visit the Contact Us page for more details.

In all cases the Planning Officer would conduct a site visit and may photograph the site.

The next stage in the process: Consideration and Recommendation.
