Planning Process - Submission

On this page: Our role in Submission of an Application

We will ensure that the following information is submitted so that every planning application can be processed as quickly as possible without any delays:

  • Are the forms filled in correctly?
  • Is the fee correct?
  • Have all the necessary plans/elevations been submitted?
  • Is any additional material required?
  • We register each application on the same day, and aim to validate 80% of applications within four days of receipt.

Applicants, or their agents, are contacted informing them where additional information is required and/or corrections needed.

Your application will be acknowledged in writing, giving the name and contact information of the Planning officer who will be dealing with the application. You will also be given a unique reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence with the department.
