Assisted Collections – ‘A Cards’

Description of Service

We offer an ‘assisted collection’ service for refuse and recycling. This is available to people who are physically unable to transport their wheelie bin, blue sack or recycling to the front of their property and there is no able person living in the same home that is able to assist them with this task.

On request of an ‘assisted collection’ we will arrange for a member of the StreetSmart team to visit your home to undertake an assessment. On completion of the assessment an ‘A card’ will be issued if you meet the criteria for ‘assisted collection’. During this assessment you will agree a place where your waste or recycling will be placed for collection.

When issued with an ‘A Card’ you should display the card visibly in your window on your day of collection to inform the collection crew that assistance is required.

Service Levels

On request of an Assisted Collection we aim to make an assessment appointment with you within 10 working days.
