Planning Process: Consultation

Each planning application registered has a statutory consultation period so that the views of local people, businesses and other relevant bodies can be sought on the proposal. We aim to consult with the consultees as early as possible.

Major applications are published in the Swindon Advertiser and all applications are displayed on this website (see Recent Planning Applications). Depending on the type of application, we may also post a site notice.

Copies of plans can be viewed at our offices, and are also available electronically, please visit the Contact Us page for more details.

Opening Times

Opening times at Premier House are Monday to Friday 9.00am-4.30pm, where a duty officer will always be available for advice on all planning matters.

In all cases the Planning Officer would conduct a site visit and may photograph the site.

The next stage in the process: Consideration and Recommendation.
