Latest Planning News

New National and Local Validation Criteria

From 6 April 2008 new validation criteria will be used. This is designed to remove any differences between Local Planning Authorities. These new requirements will be used alongside the national application forms to validate applications.

Appeal Online

The Planning Inspectorate have introduced an online appeals service which you can use to make your appeal online. You can find the services through the Appeals area of the Planning Portal - see www.planningportal.gov.uk/pcs. The Inspectorate will publish details of your appeal on the internet (on the Appeals area of the Planning Portal). More detailed information about data protection and privacy matters is available on the Planning Portal.

Listed Buildings Now Online

The listed buildings statutory register is now available in PDF format from our Listed Buildings page. The register has been broken down by parish/area so simply click on the area you are interested in, then use the "search" facility in Adobe Reader to find the exact structure you are interested in.
