The landscape architects work closely with this section and have guided the Developers Framework Plans for the new residential expansion areas currently taking place in the Northern Sector. In due course they will be playing a similar role in the master-planning of the Southern Development Area. The framework plan acts as an essential guide to ensure that the borough achieves the right quality  and quantity of open space that respects, and where possible enhances, the natural environment.
