Environment

Canal Restoration
In 1996 a successful bid was made which resulted in funding for the restoration of the section of the Wilts and Berks Canal between Mill Lane and Kingshill Road. The landscape section drew up a detailed specification for the dredging work -the contract for which was won by Land And Water Services (www.land-water.co.uk). Additional work was undertaken by volunteers from the Wilts and Berks Canal Trust (www.wilts-berks-canal.org.uk).
