Swindon Design Guide

Swindon Design Guide coverThe Design Guide covers all aspects of design focusing on specific types of development and specific areas. Its purpose is to ensure that the quality of design in the Borough is raised to reflect our Corporate aim of making Swindon an enjoyable place to live, work and play. It does this by providing clear criteria for assessing planning applications.

Shopfronts Coding Guidance

The Shopfronts Coding Guidance Note will be applied whenever planning consent is required for a new or amended shopfront. It provides detailed criteria against which proposals for shopfronts will be assessed, with the objective of improving the quality of shopfront design in the borough.
