Local Development Scheme

Swindon Borough Council's Local Development Scheme (LDS) 3rd Review (December 2008) was approved by the Government Office of the South West (GOSW) in January 2009.

The scheme has been prepared in accordance with sections 15 and 16 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act, 2004, and details Planning Policy documents to be produced by the Borough Council in the period up to December 2012.

It contains details of timescales for production of each document to allow consultation to be programmed, and to inform all stakeholders of likely Public Examinations. The scheme also provides details on joint working and jointly produced Development Plan Documents.
