Environmental Education Activities

Woodlands activitiesWelcome to Swindon Services Ranger Team’s environmental education programme. We have a wide variety of sessions that cater for not only schools but colleges and out of school groups as well. The activities are both educational and enjoyable with the aim of getting people to experience the wonders of the natural world first hand.

Our service supports many areas of the National Curriculum with particular relevance to environmental education and rural studies. Learning opportunities also include vocational training for older students and life long learning.

Pond Dipping ActivitiesMany of the activities mentioned can take place in any of our Country Parks, Local Nature Reserves and open spaces. Some activities will be site specific, however, if practicable we are able to come to your school and work in your grounds.

The activities on offer are as follows:

Wonderful Woodlands

Water Life

Wonderful Wildlife

Nature Walks and Talks

Art in the Park

Terrific Trees

Orienteering
