Applying for a Place in a Primary School

Late Applications

The closing date for Primary school places for 2010-11 has now passed and the online application facility is no longer available.

If you have not applied and still need to, you can apply by completing the application form by hand, however your application will now be considered late for the purposes of the co-ordinated scheme.

The local authority will endeavour to deal with late applications before the offer date, but it may not be possible to do this in every circumstance.

For further information please phone the Admissions Team on 01793 445500.

This section is aimed at parents with children, who in September 2010:

  • will start school for the first time in Infant/Primary school
  • will move up to Junior school

How to Apply

Computer IconYou can now apply online using the Schools Admissions Online Process. This service has now closed so you will need to contact the Admissions Team.

Before making an application we ask that parents and carers carefully read the Primary Admissions Guide for 2010-2011.

You can also apply using a hard copy application. This is available from the School or the Admissions Team.

Applications are not dealt with on a first come first serve basis. As long as your application is received by 6 November 2009, it will be considered along with all other 'on time' applications.

The Primary Admissions Guide for 2010-2011, is available below as a downloadable PDF document:

The information published in the guide is intended to help parents make an informed decision about which school they wish their child to attend and how to apply for a place.

Please note: Correction to Primary, Infant and Junior Admission Guide 2010/2011

On page 27 and page 28 of the Primary and Infant to Junior Admissions Guide, the following corrections should be noted:

The Published Admission Number (PAN) for Grange Infant School should be 90 and not 100.

The Published Admission Number (PAN) for Grange Junior School should be 90 and not 120.

We try to make sure that as many pupils as possible are offered a place at one of their preferred schools. At all stages of the process the Admissions Team will do everything they can to provide you with further information and support.

For admission in 2010-2011, you must make sure that the Admissions Team at Sanford House, receive your application by the 6 November 2009.

The Admission Guides for 2009 admission are still available for you to look at online. They contain useful information on all areas of School Admissions.
