Nursery School Places

All 3 & 4 year olds in Swindon are entitled to 5 free Early Education sessions of 2.5 hours each week for 38 weeks at nursery, pre-school or with an accredited childminder. All settings who provide nursery education have to follow the early learning goals and be inspected by Ofsted to make sure they maintain the standards in early years education.

Nursery Education Funding is available through:

  • LEA Maintained Nurseries
  • Private Daycare Nurseries
  • Pre-School and Playgroups
  • Accredited Childminders
