The Childcare Sufficiency Assessment March 2008

Swindon Borough Council has a duty under the Childcare Act 2006 to ensure that there is sufficient childcare in Swindon by March 2009 to meet the needs of working parents and parents who are in training with a view to returning to the workforce.

The first step to meeting this duty has been to assess existing supply and demand in the local childcare market in Swindon's Childcare Sufficiency Assessment.
