Access

Access to the Council Chamber is through the main entrance of the Civic Offices. A ramp is provided at the entrance for wheelchair access. There is, however, some limitation to full access within the chamber itself.

Access to the gallery is via an external staircase and is unlikely to be suitable for users of wheelchairs or those with some physical disabilities.

Hearing Difficulties

A microphone/headphone system makes the chamber suitable for use by persons with hearing difficulties. A loop system is installed in Committee Room 1.

Toilet Facilities

Toilet facilities for disabled people are available near the Council Chamber and committee rooms.

Parking

Disabled parking facilities are available at the front of the Civic Offices, close to the main entrance.
