Brunel 200 Poems

Swindon Brunel 200 Poems

Isambard Kingdom Brunel

Poem of the month

BRUNEL

little man. big hat.
in the shadow
of your engineering
genius, all of us
are pigmies.

Welcome to the webspace of "Izza-Bard" the Swindon Brunel 200 poet. Captivating and enthralling audiences throughout Swindon with Brunel related poetry to entice, involve and celebrate the birthday of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

"Izza-Bard" has set Swindon a challenge, a challenge fitting of these great birthday celebrations, to create 200 poems detailing Brunel's legacy.

Original contributions are welcome, any length, any style, (humour is good too) related to the Brunel 200 theme.

Swindon Brunel 200 Poems

"Izza-Bard" has already been hard at work so why not follow the links to the right and get whisked off to the world of Brunel.

Over to you

If your poetry flair is ready to show, then put pen to paper or finger to key and email or send your contributions to:

"Izza-Bard" will give personal feedback on all poems

These pages will be used to showcase as many of the poems as possible, although Izza-Bard cannot guarantee publication of all that are submitted, and "Izza Bard's " decision is final.

This is not a competition but a Swindon Community Creation. No physical prizes, plenty of surprises and a railway full of feelgood factor for contributors and readers.
