Micro Musicals - Return to the Forbidden Planet, written by Bob Carlton

Shakespeare's forgotten Rock 'n' Roll Masterpiece! Captain Tempest's spaceship crashes on the planet D'Illyria with scientist Doctor Prospero, his teenage daughter Miranda, and their robot. But what unfinished business does the ship’s science officer have with Prospero? Will Miranda fall in love with the captain or the cook? And what is the mysterious prowling monster?

In just three years, the Ruf Records Blues Caravan has become an extremely popular musical event reaching more and more blues fans across the world.

The 2008 line-up includes local singer-guitarist Dani Wilde joined on stage by Virginian native Deborah Coleman and Canadian guitarist Sue Foley. They offer proof that the Blues are alive and well!

Paul TurnerThis season sees Paul Turner, the founder and Artistic Director of the Swindon Recital Series, return with a truly inspiring and beautifully impressionistic solo programme, based on the widely varied piano compositions of Claude Debussy. It will feature three of his most popular sets of pieces in Suite Bergamasque (which includes Clair de Lune), Children’s Corner and Estampes, as well as Deux Arabesques, La Cathedral Engloutie and the spectacular L’Isle Joyeuse.
