Springtime at the Arts Centre looks set to be a really exciting time. We will soon be at the stage where online booking will be launched - so watch the website for news of this.
We have also had some really interesting expressions of interest in the café/bar franchise, so we will be bringing you news of that soon, with a view to relaunching the facility in the autumn.
This season has already seen some great acts, including (on consecutive days!) the fabulous Thea Gilmore, and the musical The Hired Man, which was presented by one of the best ensemble casts I have ever seen at the Arts Centre.
Still to come this season are top sounds from the Modern Jazz Trio (led by pianist John Horler), folk singer Teddy Thompson’s excursion into country music, a tribute show to the late talented comedienne Linda Smith (featuring singer Barb Jungr), and a night of yodelling prog-rock with Dutch band Focus.
All that and we’ve just finalised the summer season.
Who says that Swindon is a cultural desert?!

Delighted
We were delighted with the following positive feedback from a Mr Garraway:
"The Arts Centre was a major factor in me choosing to live in Old Town. Coming from Oxford, where there was so much to do, I sought out the Arts Centre and decided I wanted to be within walking distance of the venue. I have been to a number of events here already and not seen a bad one yet. I love the diversity of your programme."
