People are being urged to get spinning to raise vital cash for Children in Need.
Swindon Borough Council’s Leisure Services team is organising the charity event at the Oasis’ new RPM Studio and have set aside 26 exercise bikes so people can cycle for an hour at a time throughout the day.
The exercise bike classes will be led by two instructors, who will be joined by national RPM trainer Les Mills.
The RPM studio at the Oasis has recently undergone a makeover and has had 26 new RPM bikes installed.
The fundraiser will take place on Saturday (12 November) and there will be eight 45-minute RPM classes running throughout the day starting at 9.30am and running at 30 minutes past every hour.
Cllr Keith Williams, Swindon Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure and Corporate Services, said: “I would like to thank the instructors and our Leisure Services team for organising this fundraiser which is a great way for people to get active while raising money for a good cause at the same time.
“I hope as many people as possible will get spinning to raise as much money as possible for Children in Need.”
Entry to each class costs £2 and there will be 26 places per class. All instructors will give up their time for free.
Bookings are being taken in the gym at the Oasis either in person or by phone on 01793 465158.
