Libraries across Swindon will be holding a number of craft events to mark National Family Week.
National Family Week is the largest annual celebration of families and family life in the UK and is taking place between Monday, 30 May and Sunday, 5 June.
To celebrate the week, Swindon Borough Council’s library service will be putting on a series of craft events and families can also visit the town’s libraries to make their own history book using images from Swindon’s local studies collection.
The events are taking place at the following venues:
Families are asked to bring along a photo of their family to include in the book. All of the events are free and will run for approximately 90 minutes.
There will also be the opportunity for families to have a tour of the local studies area at Swindon Central Library on Tuesday, 31 May at 11.15am and Wednesday 1st June at 2pm.
The tours will last for approximately one hour. Families interested in taking the tour should meet in the local studies area at Swindon Central Library.
