Big Pants & Botox

Friday 24 February 2012

Arts Centre

8pm

Rebecca Wheatley gives a tour de force performance as we’re taken on the emotional rollercoaster that is Barbra’s 50th birthday celebration. Roche’s trademark blend of humor and poignancy cannot fail to engage as Barbra gradually reveals her big secret.

Part of the play was inspired by a true story Louise discovered whilst researching a TV documentary twenty years ago – the material was never used but has lingered in her imagination ever since.  Big Pants and Botox gave her the perfect opportunity to tell it at last.

The story she has woven and the character she has created are by turns hilarious and intriguing, and ultimately uplifting.
